Computing student Gordon Branson receives the BCS Best Project Prize at the 1998 University of Wolverhampton degree ceremony, held on the 24th November 1998 at the Telford International Centre. The Branch was honoured to have Relational Database guru Chris Date to present the prize. Branch Chair Mary Garvey was also present at the presentation.

Runner-up prizes were also presented to Catherine Soden and Ernest Craddock. These were presented by Dr Hugh Darwen, who also received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Wolverhampton.
